Gian Antunes Grassi - Senior Software Engineer

Hello! I'm Gian Grassi, it's nice to have you here! Let me introduce myself.

I'm a Senior software engineer, who appreciates taking on new challenges and is always looking for ways to improve my skills. I enjoy creating things that live on the internet, whether they are websites, applications or automated tasks. During my career I could work with different technologies on front-end, back-end and also some cloud-based stacks. Here they are:

- Frontend:
When it comes to programming languages, I have been working a lot with Typescript and Javascript. Also, of course there's no frontend without HTML and CSS, right? I can handle these ones efficiently as well too.
As the front-end layer became much more than just HTML, CSS, and Javascript I also have experience with those libraries and frameworks that are currently in demand. I've worked in projects using Vue.js, Angular.js, React as well as Next.js (SSR). I've worked more with React which by the way is what I have more experience with.

- Backend:
The first language I've learned was C# during college. I did some coding in .NET where I had the chance to learn some best practices and OO. When I got my first job as a developer I started working with Node.js this in when I had the opportunity to develop some APIs from scratch which made me study a lot about backend. I can say that Express.js is the framework that I'm more comfortable working with and I also have some experience with GraphQL using ApolloServer.

- Automated Tests:
Tests in my opinion are something that is part of the developing process. I like to write unit tests while developing in order for me to be sure that the code works correctly. This helps me to detect and protect against unexpected bugs. I have experience using Jest, Karma and a bit with Cypress.

- Cloud:
My experience spans across AWS and Azure, where I've applied cloud solutions to elevate project scalability and reliability. While I'm continuously deepening my knowledge in cloud infrastructure, I confidently navigate and implement cloud-based services to meet diverse project needs.

Currently, I am applying my breadth of knowledge and technical skills at Arctouch, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in software engineering. My academic foundation in Information Systems from Universidade Positivo has been the bedrock of my growth in this ever-evolving field.
